Terms
1. Scope and provider
These terms apply to the use of WorldTrace and to all contracts for paid plans. The provider and your contracting party is Deckwerth IT, Ruben Deckwerth, 8117 Fällanden, Switzerland, UID CHE-237.777.874, email [email protected] ("we"). Other terms apply only if we expressly agree to them.
Sections 3 (third-party data), 9 (acceptable use) and 11 (liability) also apply when you use the map without an account. By using the map you accept them.
2. Service
WorldTrace is a browser map that brings together publicly available third-party data such as flight and ship positions, cameras, natural events, infrastructure, prediction markets and news. The pricing page describes what each plan includes. We owe access to the map and to the features of your plan, not any particular content of the data shown.
We keep developing WorldTrace. Features labelled "beta" or "coming soon" are not yet available or only in part, and are not part of the promised service. We aim for high availability but cannot promise uninterrupted use. We schedule maintenance for quiet times where possible.
3. Third-party data – no warranty
We do not create the data shown. We collect it automatically from external services (agencies, organisations, volunteer networks, camera operators, news and market platforms) and display it. We do not check it, correct it or adopt it as our own.
The data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate or wrong, positions may be estimated or predicted, and sources may change, limit or end their service at any time. We give no warranty for the accuracy, completeness, freshness or availability of the data and do not owe any particular source, number of cameras or level of freshness. If a source goes away for good, we will try to replace it.
The same applies to how WorldTrace processes this data automatically, such as flagging military and government flights, estimated or predicted positions, the "signal lost" flag, placing prediction markets by their title, the live status of cameras, and AI briefings. Crisis regions and GPS interference zones are editorial approximations without any claim to completeness and do not show current front lines. Country borders and names come from third-party map data and are no statement on territorial claims. "Live" describes the type of source, not a promised level of freshness.
WorldTrace is not a basis for safety, navigation, rescue, travel or financial decisions. Rely on the official authorities in such cases. Prediction markets are information, not investment advice. AI briefings are generated automatically from this data and may contain errors.
4. Account
The map can be used without an account. To create one you must be at least 16 and give a valid email address. Keep your password secret. An account is personal and must not be shared; the Team plan covers several people.
5. Plans, prices and payment
The prices shown during checkout apply. All prices are final prices in US dollars. We are not registered for VAT and therefore do not charge or show VAT. Your payment provider may charge fees for converting into your currency. Payment is made in advance through our payment provider Stripe, using the payment methods offered there.
The contract is concluded when you complete the order with Stripe and the payment is confirmed. Your plan is activated immediately afterwards.
Subscriptions (monthly or yearly) renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel before then. The amount for each new period is due at its start.
The day pass is valid for 24 hours from payment, ends automatically and does not renew.
If a payment fails, your plan stays active for a few days so you can complete it. After that the account returns to the free plan; your data is kept.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel a subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current period: without signing in via Cancel contracts here, when signed in under "Manage or cancel subscription" in your account, or by email to [email protected]. You will receive a confirmation by email. You keep all features until the end of the paid period. Periods already paid are not refunded pro rata unless the law requires otherwise (see section 7).
If you delete your account, any running subscription ends immediately.
We may terminate the contract with 30 days' notice to the end of a billing period, for example if we shut down WorldTrace. We refund amounts already paid for the time after that pro rata. Both sides reserve the right to terminate without notice for good cause, in particular for serious breaches of section 9.
7. Right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU, EEA and United Kingdom
If you are a consumer living in the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom, you have the following statutory right of withdrawal.
Withdrawal notice
Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires fourteen days after the day the contract is concluded. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Deckwerth IT, Ruben Deckwerth, 8117 Fällanden, Switzerland, email: [email protected]) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Early expiry. The right of withdrawal expires once we have fully performed the service, if we began performance only after you gave your express consent and acknowledged at the same time that you lose your right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully performed. This applies in particular to the day pass once its 24 hours have passed. You give this consent at checkout.

8. Price changes
We will email you about price changes for running subscriptions at least 30 days before the next billing period starts. They apply only from that period. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then; the old price applies until the end of the current period.
9. Acceptable use
You may use WorldTrace for private, journalistic, research and business purposes within your plan. You must not:
- monitor, track, harass or intimidate people, or prepare crimes;
- harvest data automatically (scraping), except through the Team plan API within its limits;
- get around allowances, access restrictions or security measures, or disrupt the service;
- resell content from WorldTrace or its data sources or offer it as your own service;
- use camera images or other third-party content against their owners' licence terms.
Re-use of content outside WorldTrace is governed by the licences of the respective sources (see Sources & method). You are responsible for making sure your use complies with the law of your country. We may block access in case of breach.
10. API (Team plan)
The API is a beta feature. We may change endpoints, data formats and rate limits and will announce major changes in advance where possible. Keep your API token secret. We may block a token in case of abuse or excessive load. Section 3 applies equally to data obtained through the API.
11. Liability
We are not liable for damage arising from third-party data being inaccurate, incomplete, delayed or unavailable, nor for decisions you or others take on the basis of the data shown or of AI briefings. Liability for interruptions in availability, lost profit, data loss and consequential damage is likewise excluded.
For free use we are liable only for intent and gross negligence. For paid plans our liability for slight negligence is excluded and otherwise limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event causing the damage.
This does not affect liability for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or mandatory consumer rights under the law of your country of residence. Where our liability is excluded or limited, this also applies to the people we work with.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms with effect for the future if there is a valid reason, such as new features or a change in the law. We will email you about changes that affect you at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can cancel before they take effect. If you do not cancel, the new terms apply from the stated date; we will point this out in the notice.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is the provider's registered office in Fällanden (Canton of Zurich). If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protection of the law of the country where you habitually live, and the courts available to you there.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. If you have a question or problem, just write to [email protected].
14. Final provisions
If any provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remain in force. These terms are available in German and English; if they differ, the German version prevails.
